Book Bus
In 2022, Parnassus Books graciously donated their bookmobile to Book'em, gifting us with the opportunity to forge our own mobile book distribution program. Today, our Book Bus is ready to launch into the Nashville community and take our reach to several different community spaces and events where we can share the importance of literacy and the joy of reading with the kids who need it most.

Book Bus Requests
Before making a request, please keep the following in mind:
- All books must go directly to economically disadvantaged children and teens in Davidson County for their personal ownership.
- We recommend and greatly appreciate requests that are submitted at least six weeks in advance.
- Requests are filled on a case-by-case basis and are subject to availability. If you submit a request, there is no guarantee that we will be able to fill it.
- Please request one book per child.
- Organizations may request the Book Bus to appear for book distributions up to two times per calendar year.
- Book’em cannot fill requests for specific book titles.
"Fill the Bus" Book Drives
Interested in conducting a book drive with your business or school? The Book'em Bus is now accepting book donations! Book drives can be run exactly the same as they always have for our book programs, but if your business or school collects 500 books or more, we can potentially coordinate an event to "Fill the Bus" with your generous donation!
Book'em can accept new, like new, or very gently used books in great condition - from board books to chapter books (0-18). We are always in need of books that showcase diverse races, cultures, and experiences, as well as bilingual and foreign language books (Spanish, Arabic, Burmese, Nepali, and Somali are the languages most frequently spoken among the kids we serve).
